![]() ![]() ![]() After much research, I have gathered the following steps, which was tested on RHEL 8.1 and RHEL server 7.6. Installing Guest Additions in Ubuntu is easy as there are many documentation available, but not as straight-forward when performed on RedHat. Therefore, I find it always necessary to install Guest Additions after installing the guest OS. In my humble opinion, the most feature is that it resizes the guest to full-screen, so that there is more real estate to work with. Guest Additions contains the device drivers and system applications that optimize the guest operating system for better performance and usability.
